Senior Visual Merchandiser (Freelance)

Are you an experienced Visual Merchandiser with a strong creative vision and a passion for fashion, retail and storytelling?

UME Studio is looking for a Senior Freelance Visual Merchandiser to elevate the presentation of our two Amsterdam stores and help translate the UME Studio identity into inspiring, commercial and constantly evolving retail spaces.

What do we expect from you?
•⁠ ⁠A minimum of 5 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably within fashion or lifestyle retail
•⁠ ⁠A strong creative eye and a clear understanding of the UME Studio aesthetic
•⁠ ⁠The ability to combine creativity with commercial thinking
•⁠ ⁠Confidence in developing and presenting your own creative ideas
•⁠ ⁠Strong styling skills and an excellent understanding of trends, colour, composition and product presentation
•⁠ ⁠The ability to work independently and take full ownership of the visual presentation
•⁠ ⁠Availability once a week or once every two weeks
•⁠ ⁠Based in or around Amsterdam

What will you do?
•⁠ ⁠(Re)Style and visually maintain both UME Studio stores
•⁠ ⁠Create fresh and inspiring visual merchandising concepts
•⁠ ⁠Completely refresh and restyle both stores every two weeks
•⁠ ⁠Creative ideas for displays, racks, mannequins, windows and in-store presentations
•⁠ ⁠Ensure that pre-loved, upcycled and curated new collections are presented in a clear and inspiring way
•⁠ ⁠Make sure the UME Studio brand and aesthetic are consistently represented across both locations

Head of Studio Operations

Ready to take the lead at UME Studio?
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills and a sharp creative eye — not just to manage our store, but to truly own it.

You are someone who:

Combines leadership with a visible, hands-on presence on the floor
Takes charge of daily store operations (team, sales, scheduling, targets, pricing, etc.)
Creates and executes plans for visual merchandising & styling (store, webshop & socials)
Understands retail performance and works confidently with numbers
Ensures the UME Studio brand and aesthetic are consistently presented across all touchpoints

What do we expect from you?

Fluent in Dutch or English
Flexibility and excellent organizational skills

Skilled in all aspects of the trade: from hanging and displaying to styling
Manage store and webshop inventory efficiently
Willingness to be present during events, holidays, and weekends
Available 2/3/4/5 days a week

What will you do?

Manage inventories for both webshop and store
Select, price, hang, and style pre-loved clothing
Work on the shop floor to enhance your sales skills
Assist in organizing and working at the coolest events, expanding your network.

Warehouse Assistant – UME Studio

Are you looking for a job as a warehouse assistant? Look no further! This is your chance to become part of the warehouse team of the only influencer store in the Netherlands!

UME Studio is an innovative fashion concept where the pre-loved clothing of over 50 content creators is offered, upcycled items are created in our own atelier, and curated collections of vintage & new fashion are brought together.

For our warehouse in Zwanenburg and Amsterdam (location may vary), we are looking for a warehouse assistant who enjoys getting things done while still working with care and precision.

Responsibilities

Receiving, checking, and processing incoming goods.
Managing stock and keeping everything neat and organized.
Supplying the stores and preparing deliveries.
Assisting with incoming and outgoing shipments, including online orders.
Keeping the warehouse clean and well-organized.
Helping out in the store during busy periods or special events.
