WAREHOUSE & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Location: Amsterdam / Bergen

UME Studio is growing, and so is everything happening behind the scenes.With multiple stores, a warehouse and an ever-changing collection of pre-loved, vintage and upcycled fashion, we're looking for a hands-on, organised and practical Warehouse & Operations Assistant to join our team.
Someone who loves getting things done, knows how to fix things and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
What will you do?
- Organise and maintain our warehouses and stockrooms.
- Pick up and deliver clothing, furniture and stock between our locations.
- Take care of (small) repairs, painting, drilling and general maintenance in our stores.
- Keep storage areas clean, organised and running efficiently.
- Sort clothing, unpack deliveries and prepare boxes.
- Handle waste disposal and other practical day-to-day tasks.Support our team with store improvements, installations and new projects.
You are someone who:
- Is hands-on, practical and solution-oriented.
- Has a valid driver's licence (B).
- Is comfortable using tools and carrying out small repairs.
- Works independently and takes initiative. Is organised, reliable and physically capable of handling stock and furniture.
- Enjoys variety and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. Is flexible and happy to work across different locations.
- Is available on a flexible base, 2-4 days (could also be half days)

Job vacancy : SALES ASSISTANT (location BERGEN & AMSTERDAM)
Ready to become part of UME Studio?
We’re looking for a fashion-loving, energetic Sales Assistant who knows how to connect with customers, has an eye for styling and loves being part of a fast-moving retail environment.
At UME Studio, no day — and no collection — is ever the same.
You are someone who:
- Loves fashion, styling and working with people
- Has a natural talent for sales and knows how to make customers feel welcome
- Is confident, proactive and not afraid to take initiative
- Has an eye for presentation, styling and visual merchandising
- Keeps up with the latest fashion trends and creators
- Works organized and takes responsibility on the shop floor
- Speaks Dutch and/or English
- Is flexible and available during weekends, holidays and events
- available 2–5 days a week
What you’ll do:
- Help customers find pieces they truly love
- Style and present our constantly changing collection
- Select, price, hang and process pre-loved items
- Keep the store looking and feeling like UME
- Support daily store operations and inventory
- Work during events, launches and special shopping moments

Senior Visual Merchandiser (Freelance)
Are you an experienced Visual Merchandiser with a strong creative vision and a passion for fashion, retail and storytelling?
UME Studio is looking for a Senior Freelance Visual Merchandiser to elevate the presentation of our two Amsterdam stores and help translate the UME Studio identity into inspiring, commercial and constantly evolving retail spaces.
What do we expect from you?
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably within fashion or lifestyle retail
• A strong creative eye and a clear understanding of the UME Studio aesthetic
• The ability to combine creativity with commercial thinking
• Confidence in developing and presenting your own creative ideas
• Strong styling skills and an excellent understanding of trends, colour, composition and product presentation
• The ability to work independently and take full ownership of the visual presentation
• Availability once a week or once every two weeks
• Based in or around Amsterdam
What will you do?
• (Re)Style and visually maintain both UME Studio stores
• Create fresh and inspiring visual merchandising concepts
• Completely refresh and restyle both stores every two weeks
• Creative ideas for displays, racks, mannequins, windows and in-store presentations
• Ensure that pre-loved, upcycled and curated new collections are presented in a clear and inspiring way
• Make sure the UME Studio brand and aesthetic are consistently represented across both locations

Head of Studio Operations (one for location Amsterdam & one for location Bergen)
Ready to take the lead at UME Studio?
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills and a sharp creative eye — not just to manage our store, but to truly own it.
You are someone who:
- Combines leadership with a visible, hands-on presence on the floor
- Takes charge of daily store operations (team, sales, scheduling, targets, pricing, etc.)
- Creates and executes plans for visual merchandising & styling (store, webshop & socials)
- Understands retail performance and works confidently with numbers
- Ensures the UME Studio brand and aesthetic are consistently presented across all touchpoints
